Objective:

Oversees and directs the strategic IT Software Solutions (ERP, CRM, PMS, Business Applications), ensuring that systems & services work reliably and securely. Lead team that implements business software and delivers new solutions, respond to user help desk requests.

The IT Solutions Director provides guidance and leadership to the IT Implementation Teams & PMO, but also directly supports end users by handling 3rd level escalations, resolving user issues, and monitoring the performance of business-critical systems to prevent delays and outages and quickly resolve ongoing issues.

Functions / Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Applications Manager and PMO to deliver the daily IT Software Services to all our resorts (approximately 12 internal employees and multiple external teams).
  • Constant Monitoring of KPI’s in regards to the systems in charge.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure that the implementation of new solutions are successful.
  • Provide Change Management Leadership & support to the internal organization.
  • Lead Digital Transformation within the company.
  • Finally, support IT department activities while upgrading systems and migrating the organization’s data in accordance with the CTO Strategies and Guidelines.
  • Introduce new methods to streamline the upgrade process, monitor the system to ensure that it remains stable and usable, and maintain data security through the migration process.

Qualities / Skills:

  • Technical skills – should have extensive Knowhow on Implementation projects.
  • Team leadership – should be able to effectively manage IT personnel and set department priorities
  • Process enhancement –develops and implements policies and procedures for the IT department, so some familiarity with assessing and improving processes is vital
  • Communication skills –should be a strong written and verbal communicator, able to communicate with team members, management personnel, and end users throughout the organization (ENGLISH AND SPANISH IS A MUST)
  • Problem-solving skills –requires excellent problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to directly addressing user issues with software, hardware, and servers
  • Budget management – Oversee Project budgets and capital expenditures, so they need strong financial management and budgeting skills.

Reports and main activities with this position

  • To do a work plan to short (one month) medium (six months) and long term (more than twelve). It is developed based on the priorities and needs of the CTO.
  • Integrate a report of activities and progress of all the Hotels (Monthly).
  • To do a Project report and Advances of the Corporate areas.
  • To run and forecast the annual IT Budget.
